Be Kind and Respectful
Engage with others in a friendly, considerate manner. Everyone on Zurich Cam is here to connect and have positive experiences. Treat others as you'd like to be treated—with empathy, patience, and understanding.
Be Authentic
Use your real identity. Do not impersonate others or create fake profiles. Authentic profiles lead to meaningful connections and trust within our community.
Obtain Consent
Before discussing sensitive topics, sharing personal information, or asking personal questions, ensure the other person is comfortable. "No" means no—respect boundaries immediately and without question.
Report Concerns
If you witness or experience behavior that violates these guidelines, use the reporting feature immediately. Our moderation team reviews all reports and takes appropriate action. Reporting helps keep everyone safe.
What We Prohibit
Harassment and Bullying
Any form of harassment, intimidation, or targeted abuse is strictly forbidden. This includes offensive comments about someone's identity, repeated unwanted contact after being asked to stop, and coordinated attacks.
Hate Speech and Discrimination
We do not tolerate language or behavior that promotes hatred, discrimination, or violence against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
Sexually Explicit Content
Zurich Cam is not a platform for sexually explicit material or solicitation. Do not share nudity, sexual content, or engage in sexually explicit conversations. Keep interactions respectful and appropriate.
Violence and Threats
Threats of violence, promotion of harmful acts, or glorification of abuse are absolutely prohibited. This includes threats against individuals, groups, or property.
Illegal Activities
Do not use Zurich Cam to engage in or promote illegal activities. This includes fraud, scams, distribution of illegal content, or coordination of unlawful acts.
Spam and Self-Promotion
Do not use the platform to advertise, promote businesses, solicit donations, or share excessive promotional links. Reasonable self-promotion (like sharing your art portfolio once in a relevant conversation) is acceptable, but spam is not.
Impersonation
Do not pretend to be someone else—including public figures, other users, or Zurich Cam staff. Misrepresentation erodes trust and harms our community.
Sharing Private Information
Do not share another person's private information without their explicit consent (doxxing). This includes home addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, workplace details, or any other personal data.
Recording Without Consent
Never record, screenshot, or capture video calls without the explicit consent of all participants. Violating privacy in this way is a serious breach of trust and our terms.
Underage Use
Zurich Cam is exclusively for users 18 years and older. If you suspect someone is underage, report them immediately. Do not engage in conversations with minors or pretend to be a different age.
Content Guidelines
Keep It Clean
Avoid profanity, offensive language, and vulgar topics. While mild language may occasionally occur in casual conversation, consistently explicit or graphic content is not appropriate.
No Misinformation
Do not spread false or misleading information that could harm others. This includes medical misinformation, conspiracy theories presented as fact, or deliberate deception.
Respect Boundaries
If someone asks you to change the subject or stop a certain type of conversation, respect their wishes immediately. Do not pressure them to continue uncomfortable topics.
Enforcement and Consequences
Violations of these guidelines may result in:
- Warning: First-time or minor infractions may receive a warning
- Temporary Suspension: Repeated or serious violations may lead to temporary account suspension (24 hours to 30 days)
- Permanent Ban: Severe violations or repeated offenses result in permanent removal from the platform
Our moderation team reviews reports on a case-by-case basis, considering context, severity, and user history. Appeals can be submitted through our contact form.
Special Considerations for Video Chat
Appropriate Attire
Dress appropriately for video conversations. Full nudity or sexually suggestive clothing is not permitted.
Background Environment
Ensure your background is appropriate and does not contain inappropriate content, illegal activities, or revealing personal information about you or others.
Audio & Visual Quality
Maintain reasonable audio and video quality. Poor connection that disrupts conversation isn't a violation, but repeatedly joining calls with unsuitable conditions that prevent communication may be addressed.
By-Stander Intervention
If you witness a violation, you can:
- Report the user immediately using the in-call reporting feature
- Support the targeted person by expressing solidarity or offering to stay on the call
- Do not engage with the violator—this can escalate the situation
